Job Purpose & Summary
As an MSR you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service on the front-line and assisting our members with their financial needs. Your ability to be a self-starter, a proactive approach and commitment to excellence will be key to your success. The MSR plays a critical role in achieving the goal of the organization by building strong and long-lasting member relations through providing members with exceptional services.
Skill Requirements
Required Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program in Finance or Business or equivalent.
- 1 year of cash-handling experience in a retail environment;
- 1 year of work experience in a financial services sales’ environment preferred;
- Strong technical and computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be bondable
What You’d Be Doing
- Responsible for opening and closing accounts, processing member’s bill payments, and setting up online banking services;
- Responsible for developing a working knowledge of products and services and making appropriate referrals to our Financial Service Representatives or Wealth team;
- Complete “Know Your Member” updates and validate information in our banking system;
- Build member relationships to better understand their needs while offering products/services to improve their financial well being;
- Offering appropriate solutions via phone, email, and in person while also communicating new products/services;
- Accurately complete member transactions, personalized cheque orders and review and correcting member banking errors accordingly;
