Job Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor and operating from our client's site, the working Foreman is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the direction of on-site personnel and equipment is carried out as directed to meet the requirements of our customers. The individual in this position must be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating Personnel and equipment
- Assist in the recruitment and management of personnel
- Promoting a safe work environment through the implementation and creation of safe work procedures with HSE team
- Development of personnel scheduling
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of all assigned equipment
- Operate CAT-VAC safely and efficiently in mine environment.
- Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather.
- Completion, review, and sign off of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, and pre/post trip inspections.
- Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervision.
- Complete daily housekeeping of assigned trucks to ensure maintenance of company image.
- Lead daily-tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure that all training is kept current for yourself and your team.
- Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
- Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide customer-focused services in all activities.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid driver’s license (min class 5) with a clean abstract
- Must have previous Wiggle Wagon experience
- Must have previous experience driving in a mine
- Previous CAT-VAC and/or Hydrovac experience considered an asset
- Above-average troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Strong computer skills (i.e. outlook, excel, SharePoint, etc.)
- Preference shall be given to candidates with previous leadership experience
- OSSA (or BSO or CSO) and CSTS certification
- Must successfully pass BME pre-employment evaluation, D&,A and fit for duty pre-employment screening
